Tropical Depression Pablo: may bring heavy rainfall


A low-pressure area off Zambales intensified into a tropical depression Thursday afternoon and was locally codenamed Paolo, state weather forecasters said.
PAGASA, in its 5 p.m. advisory, said Paolo was estimated at 230 km west of Subic, Zambales as of 4 p.m., with maximum winds of 45 kph near the center.
It said Paolo was forecast to move west at 7 kph and is expected to be 400 km west of Subic, Zambales Friday afternoon. By Saturday afternoon, it is expected to be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 570 km west of Subic, Zambales.
